Dr John Ward was named NSW Senior Australian of the Year and is now heading to Canberra in the running for Senior Australian of the Year. Dr Ward who is the Co-Founder of Hunter Ageing Alliance has focused on improving the lives of older people.
The team at Hunter Ageing Alliance are working on safeguarding isolated older individuals, particularly during extreme weather conditions. The recognition of the NSW Senior Australian of the Year has opened doors to collaborate with individuals and organizations on programs such as the Housing for Older People Project (HOPP).
